Handcrafted in Italy
Terre Cotte Mediterranee (Mediterranean Terra Cotta) originated from a painstaking research into ancient Sicilian clay-working methods dating back to the 10th century B.C.. The biscuit, composed of a mixture of red clay and volcanic sands, is “shaped” by hand according to the old traditions and baked at a temperature of 1000° Celsius (1832° F), which provides an extraordinary resistance to wear and tear as well as to atmospheric agents.
